Our Shooting Team

Team Short Action Customs

Hailing from California to Pennsylvania and many places in between, our team is made up of some of the best shooters in the country. Match after match these men and women prove that being behind a SAC rifle is one of the keys to their success. There is a good chance you will run into a member of our team at a PRS or NRL Match and if you do, they will be more than happy to “talk shop” and let you know why they believe in Short Action Customs.

Meet the Team

Allison Zane

A high school honor student from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Allison joined the SAC team in 2021 and competes in the PRS Pro Series, PRS Regional Series, AG Cup Series, and the NRL22 Series. She began shooting at the age of 11 in a small-bore positional program. At 13, her dad introduced her to long range precision rifle, and she has been hooked ever since. As of 2021, Allison is in her 4th year of shooting competitively and her 2nd year of shooting National level 2-day precision rifle matches. Allison had this to say about her shooting journey:

“I try to approach everything I do, including shooting, with a positive attitude.  My shooting journey has been about having fun, meeting new people, and learning new things.  I am excited to be a part of this growing sport, and I hope that by leading by example and being a positive role model, I can motivate more youth and women to participate in shooting sports. This sport is my passion, and I am grateful for the opportunities it has given me to travel the country with my family seeing new places, meeting new friends, and doing what I love, shooting.  I can’t wait to see what adventures lie ahead for me, and I am honored to be a part of Team Short Action Customs.”

When she is not in school or at the range, Allison enjoys running, working out and spending time with her family and friends. She makes it a point to keep school a top priority and she specifically enjoys science and math. After high school, Allison plans to attend college in hopes of pursuing an engineering degree.
